If I could paint the sky
just once before I die
in the blue of you,
the clouds would be jealous,
but gloriously highlighted
in wisps of pure lightest hue.
If I could paint the day
into the night as you,
the sun, moon, and stars
would all join hands
and bow to the
master of blue.
If I could but for one moment
paint Love the way you do,
I'd hold my heart in my hands,
and the colors on my canvass
would all bleed true.
If I could paint the sky
it would be a portrait
of you.

I am so delighted that you all enjoyed this one. It came to me exactly as it is written, gifted from the blue, not a single word was changed. I thank my muse each time I receive these gifts.

Well, if you were writing about me..it would be a sky gray....if you were writing about Balladeer....there'd be alot of hot air coming from the south....but since you're obviously writing about someone special..you've colored your world wonderfully....
