I listened to myself today,
Can’t say I was impressed.

I spoke up when not even asked to,
Overanalyzing tidbits of conversation,
And laying down my own glorious opinion.

I am ashamed of myself.

“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to wrath”
Were once held tight around my heart.
Not sure when that changed.

No matter how well intended my advice,
It’s clear to me I need to refocus.

Been here, but some things just feel right to say.

Indeed, there was a need for something to be said, I just feel a little more tact could have been used on my part.  One doesn't have be offensive to express a differing opinion, I felt I crossed that line.
