There is a cloud in yonder vast sky Like a ghost it is sailing far out into the blue Without a reason of doubt, or of the questioning, why It sails farther and farther away till it is far out from view, To anything, unfettered and unbound, entering into its inner sphere It ventures to a world, where all is beautiful and clear And as I watch, from the other world, comes a gleam A telling of some secret to know Hidden treasures that contain our innermost hopes and dreams A pathway for the enlightenment of the soul, It is all out there, now coming into view In a longing for love, the clarity of truth But, though downcast as I am, however distant and far still it be, I captured a glimpse In my inward being, of the peace, the joy and the bliss It is not now here, for ages have passed, since Our fall from grace, and truth in its purity, in this world, does not exist, Thus is the soul in a mournful state of sorrow In longing, looking for the coming of the wonderful new world tomorrow Oh, how my soul longs for that day When the sins of this present life, will be no more All of life's illusions to forever fade And follow the cloud, as it sails into another shore, Envisioning in dreams, as I close my eyes The paradise, that now, to us is denied And find myself walking with God Down through fields of light I can feel the immense joy, what it is, to be happy and free Like a butterfly flying through the air, in pure delight In a garden of lovely flowers and blossoming trees, Where all is peaceful, faithful, loving and true It is all out there, now coming into view |
