Shall I speak quick? Do I dare?
When I find my lips become my snare?

My tongue produces glories fruit to feed
Yet low I bow. My stomach aches from greed.

The cost's of pride, I've gambled. Thus too soon
I find I bare my fruit to ruin.

Patients has its perfect work of virtue.
Forgiveness works lest pride should prove to hurt you.

Humility cannot be grasped but grasps
And though pride can, she bites with fangs as asps.

You branches who would bare the fruit Devine
Of righteousness and life abide the vine.

Amen! He is the vine and we are the branches and, without him, our fruits, as I thought your poem brought out nicely, pride and greed, get to smelling pretty gosh darn stinky rotten.  Enjoyed!
