*** For those non Scientologists reading this poem, The Basics refers to a set of basic books written by, or from the works of, L. Ron Hubbard about the philosophy of Scientology and their application. The Lectures are a series of recorded talks given by Ron Hubbard which elaborate and amplify the basic books. The R&D stands for Research & Discovery which are a series of books that are are a running record of just that. And Ron, of course, is the name of the founder. ***

soar above the darkness, the lostness and the nightmares of yore.

and the voices of those who have climbed, cheering and calling

from above.  So rise the Lectures with their Basic Books.

an understatement.  So advance the R&D, the Basic Books,

and the voice and the visions of Ron.
