A Common Ground

Between my selves
a battle brewed,
the self of old,
the self of new,
and, in a dream,
God took me back
to show the want,
to show the lack
of younger days
when I dreamt of
the stuff of marriage,
children... love
and, so,
those thoughts,
put there in me,
did resonate
a prophecy
of hope
that spoken
into space
fulfilled a void,
revealed a Grace
as did The Word
when it gave birth
to common ground,
a thing called Earth.
