I – The Crucifixion

Judged by men
Hated and persecuted
Scourged and beaten
Whipped and spat on
Nailed to the cross
And still he said
‘Father, forgive them’

II - Death

Cross of blood
Nails dyed red
Breath deceased
Mind asleep
Body now limp
The tomb awaits

III - The Resurrection

Death
Where’s thy sting
The Christ has risen
Glorious light
Heavenly bright
All shall follow
When time is right
