The Coming Age of Sorrows

That time is at hand
pooling
in our front yards.
Not the typical “Global Warming.”
Instead,
the answer to the ages of sands swarming...
From Genesis
to the last letter in Revelation,
He is revealed as ‘The Christ.’
Pronounced
to all of earths nations.

Yet,
temperaments of the world’s collective minds are so weak –
We fail to understand what we reap
is that seed we have chosen to sow.
Not a path contemplated
or so easily discerned,
yet, a path toward self destruction,
and taught in pitch-midnight classes
of a perpetual carnal instruction…

Jesus, that name above all names:
The King of Kings,
Lord of Lords,
Jerusalem, Emanuel.

All He asks is that we believe
and accept Him as a gift.
Nothing else to tell or do.
No more burdens for us to lift
or pursue…

Nothing else at all to fear,
nothing for transgression to declare.
We only need admit what is true:
He is our redeemer.

His words are true –
His will is to make in us
His way, His truth, and His life anew…

With Him you need not fear
The Coming Age of Sorrows.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~Isaiah 13:8
And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them;
they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth:
they shall be amazed one at another; their faces [shall be as] flames.
~Mathew 24:6
And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars:
see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass,
but the end is not yet.
~Mathew 24:7
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
~Mathew 24:8
All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.
~Mathew 24:9
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you:
and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Jerusalem is Peace
~Genesis. 14:18; Psalms, 76:2.
~Hebrews. 7:1 & 2.
Words we all should comfort each other with, until He returns.
Thank you Suthern.
An interesting piece; in addition, in John 11:35 we are reminded that "Christ was a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief."
Keep writing and exploring your poetic voice!
Seems evidence of that biblical prophesy is coming to pass before our very eyes.  How comforting to know we will not be forsaken by our Lord in these last days.
Thanks for the great reminder.
God bless!
