Awareness
When I was younger
I heard his whisper
Then I began to think
I thought about this
I thought about that
Then I began to do
Do what I should
Do what I could
Do whatever I wanted
As the years went by
My life became complicated
My thoughts so sophisticated
Like the infamous Titanic
I hit the iceberg of humility
My ego sunk
Fear paid me a visit
Despair sent his regards
Yet in the midnight of my soul
I went for a walkabout
And as looked to the sky
The stars twinkled brightly back
As God smiled at me
In that moment of being
I once again heard his whisper....
