when over all your life is spinning,
can’t tell endings from beginnings
and you’re like a wild horse on the plain …

Jesus holds the reins.

Jesus holds the reign

when over all your life is crashing,
storms are blowing, winds are thrashing
and you’re like a spider on a drain …

Jesus holds the rain.

Jesus holds the reign

when over all your life you’ve questioned,
“Why so cruel? Why the depression?”
and you’re like a heart so filled with pain …

Jesus holds the reign.

Jesus holds the reign.

Thank you, Alison, for stopping by and replying to my poem and, WoW, I do appreciate and think it's great that you were actually humming, because, well, because this poem did first come to me in the form of a kind of melody.

What a calming thought when we're in the midst of turmoil.  We all need to be prodded to, take a deep breath and remember who's in charge.  It's courage for the downtrodden, unappreciated, sick and grieving, to know justice reigns in our Lord.  We may think of loads of responses but knowing Christ is in charge, solves it all.
Thank you for sharing with us.
May I send a copy of this to a young man who really needs it now?  Of course, I'd make certain you are named the author, Bob.
