Bitter resentment surrounds me
for all I do is wait.
Living my life as calmly
as I can with surrounding hate.

My heart yearns for more;
from this life I have become
a fool for my own passions.
My spirit is naive and young.

Being selfish, who would have thought
would actually set me free?
Allow me to have the peace I sought
and to have my soul grow eternally.

To many times we do forget
that forgiveness is a charm.
It opens our heart to the Lord instead
of letting the Devil do harm.

True, some things may not make sense
to forgive and to forget.
But who are we to act as judge whence
we still will be judged yet.

Do not point out the speck of dirt
in your neighbors eye
unless your are willing to flirt
with doom, as it will surely come by.

Forgiveness is a selfish act
for we all desire to leaven
our debt with God and in fact
open the gates to Heaven.

Unorthodox mabey, but I grow on you.

I find this very beautiful, in content and structure.

Forgiveness is the most important tool that we have to let love reign. That you know this at your young age is a blessing!

Love,
Margherita

Forgiveness is the Fountain of Youth, the Holy Grail and the path to unity.
Thank you,

I especially liked

"True, some things may not make sense
to forgive and to forget.
But who are we to act as judge whence
we still will be judged yet."

"Do not point out the speck of dirt
in your neighbors eye
unless your are willing to flirt
with doom, as it will surely come by."

Those two paragraphs. It really captured my attention.

Mm I loved this poem, loved.

I hope you come back soon and write more.
