From such a simple question, entire worlds were born
I know now why you asked me, and why it took this form
For if you were to tell me, the answer to my face
I would not have believed you, I would have lost the race.
The race is for the Slow to win, not to the fleetest foot
It takes our understanding, to develop a strong root,
For he that runs away from this, will never know the Source,
But he who stays and faces it, will be the fastest horse!
I know now why told me, that it was not your Drum
The sound I hear, so strong and near, I know it's not your Drum!
I know it's not my Drum I hear, pulsing through my veins
But another One that beckons me, to enter just the same.
I just woke up from a long sleep, that brought me to this place.
I know it is my Destiny, to enter in this race
And though my heart is fearful, I know I will be safe
For that is what she said to me, 'just have a little Faith'
This world was born, this world will die, and with it I will go
The answers to my questions, will be mine to know.
If only I will listen, to the sound I love
And keep an ever watchful eye, unto the sky above.
All men desire Knowledge and Freedom at their core
To understand the answers, we must go through the Door.
I know my fate, you told me, I'll die by my brothers hand!
It surely does await me, I really understand.
But though I'm getting old and tired, I'll offer up my Life
For a chance to See the Mystery, and share it with my Wife.
I know my life's not mine alone, this world is shared by all,
Not only those who watch the race, but those who heed the call
I know that few are chosen, though many they are called
The Answer to my question, will soon be known to all.
I'll write My final story, if you will help me stand
Before the Tree of Life, and dance, upon this Ancient land.

Hi

a good read.

I'm unsure what the line "I know now why told me," is saying.

I'm also wondering why certain words are capitalized.
