what sunlight creates

bamboo stalks grow straight
up toward a eternity
green green remembered
to thrust at revered Brahma
leafy heavens of respect

Short and sweet, reminds me of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

(5) bamboo stalks grow straight
(7) up toward a(n) eternity
(5) green green remembered
(7) to thrust at revered Brahma
(5) leafy heavens of respect

I like the sentiment behind your poem (the eastern – oriental feel of it) with its natural flowing references to bamboo and Brahma and I like how you gave it a haiku(ish) type feel. Very nice.
