Beneath the waters I am buried

With loads of cares

Sinking under pressure

Strong currents weighting heavy

Upon my body

Paralyzing fears

Crippling thoughts

I call out in despair

*

“Save me Jesus”

*

Reaching out His hand

He gently lifts me

Peacefully I walk upon

The deepest waters

Holding to His hand

Then as I feel His spirit

Grow within me

I am lifted

Sailing above the waters

Caught by a life giving breeze

Then like a seagull

I ride the wind

In time

I soar

*

Shore to shore

Marcia,

Your words personify nature so very very well and I love the progression of your poem from sink to soar or from the heavy load or burden of the metaphoric water to the walking, as Jesus did, on top of it  and, finally, to the soaring above the water or trials and tribulations completely. Hallelujah! What a Beautiful vision and what a Wonderful truth you've shared here with us. I agree, Jesus is truly Amazing and He truly does save us in our greatest times of need. Amen and Amen and God bless to you.
