Since my last challenge has not yet been met, I have answered my own challenge. I hope you enjoy the poem.

If Ever I Forget

If ever I forget
That Jesus Loves and Cares
Take me to the valley
The valley of despair
And leave me in the deepest pit
Where no one knows I’m there
If ever I forget
His blood was shed for me
Take me to the garden
Where anguished fallen be
And let my heart hear none from God
No answered prayer or plea
If ever I forget
The Death of Christ was real
Take me to His scourging
So pain He felt I’ll feel
And find no time in memory
A time when I was healed
If ever I forget
The cup that Jesus bore
Take me to the mountain
To wear the crown He wore
And let instead be pierced my head
So I’ll forget no more
If ever I forget.

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

Well look at you!  I missed the challenge request but seeing my muse is somewhere in Europe on an extended vacation, I am sure glad you rose to your own challenge, and encouraged a new member to as well.  Happy Summer Bob.

I love every line, Bob. As we age and our memories dim, I pray we never can forget Him.

It's lovely Bob and I meant to answer this challenge but my computer has given up and locked all of my friends away from me.  I am here on my daughter's computer and struggling to catch up but if you don't hear from me for awhile, it is harder on me than on you.  Great job in answering your own challenge.  Love, Joyce

Joyce,

Thank God for Daughters. I am very sorry to hear about your computer and I'll be on vacation for a week myself so I'll be missing for a short while as well.  You may have recalled that I lost my first grandchild in August of 2005 to SIDS and my daughter had another baby this past March and I will be going on vacation next week to see her (my granddaughter) for the very first time. I'm very Excited. Anyway, not a problem for me as far as your not being able to post a poem right now and, again, I hope all will work out in regards to your computer so that you can be posting here in the future really really soon.

God bless you,
-Bob
