Windows of the Mind

Windows of the mind reflect
What the eyes do see,
It stores all the images
Seen by you and me.

Windows of the mind reflect
What we chose to hear,
It stores all the many sounds
Year after every year.

Windows of the mind reflect
What we chose to speak,
Words that drip from our lips
Sometimes should not leak.

Windows of the mind reflect
The thoughts we cherish so,
If sinful thoughts enter in
We need to quick say no!

Sight, sound, speaking and thoughts
Fill our mind each day,
And if it’s good the Lord steps in
If not, outside He’ll stay.

Our mind can only give honor to
The Lord or to the world,
For it plays back many times
These things often unfurled.

The Windows of the mind reflect
The information stored within,
Will it lead to a life of Joy
Or will it lead to sin?

Oh, yes, we must guard those windows to only allow good, wholesome, things that honor our Lord, inside.

Yes, those windows of the mind plaque man so. I have known this and its so disheartening when we mold and remold lies and then years come, for us to walk without them. The mind is so powerful. Enjoyed your poem and the great wisdom here.
