You'll Know Me You’ll know me not by what I’ve owned Nor riches that I’ve fared You’ll know me not through those I’ve known Nor secrets that I’ve shared It won’t be for demeanor’s sake Nor eloquence of speech That you’ll know me when morning’s wake Breaks Heaven’s shore to breach. You’ll know me not by ol’ blue jeans Nor by my Sunday’s best You’ll know me not by angel’s wings Nor halo o’er my crest It won’t be my celebrity, Nor insolence, nor roots But more you’ll find these things to be —You’ll know me by my fruit. I'm always very happy to read that my poetry has been an inspiration in some way and I do hope that when you have finished writing your poem about "Who we are" that, because I'm not here on a regular basis  , you might e-mail me and let me know so that I can stop in and enjoy it.
