The Harvest

Canvassed winds encompassed by swept golden fields of grain
Swirling minds of decadence lost in angelic plains
Woe to know intolerance toward sulking serpent’s nest
Founded in soul’s heartland under summer morning’s crest.

Melody of nature wakes bleached wheat fields birthed in sun
Swaying in the aftermath of providence begun
Sentimental promises conceived on eagle’s soar
Knowing lofted point of view shall supersede once more.

Crowing rooster knows too late to break the fray of day
Noisy harvesting machines are busy bundling hay
Sickled cells of silage cut from straight and narrow rows
Stills repentant hearts to reap from harvest’s afterglow.

The imagery is extremely well done, and the harvest of repentant souls is the greatest one of all.

God bless

Sunday's food for thought.  Wonderful!
