We are the reason Jesus had to die
To bear the stripes upon His back
When He uttered every cry.

We are the reason His hands and feet were pierced
To heal us of our wounded souls
He chose the pain so fierce.

We are the reason He went down into Hell
To take back the keys of death
Where only torment dwells.

We are the reason He rose up from the grave
For our souls never to die
But to live with God always.

We are the reason He rose into the clouds
To make a home to live
In Heaven, glorybound.

We are the reason, He will again return
To take us home to live
Where love’s at every turn.

You are the reason He calls out your name
His desire to save
Your soul from the dark grave.

Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!!

hi there Musicmaker I read your poem and i have to say it made me cry, as i just had to close my eyes and Isaw his pain
