Ads of roses and jewels, heartshaped,
make many a lonely heart ache
secretly longing to be told
"You're so special to have and to hold"

You really do have a Valentine
to bathe you in comfort, devine.
Words of love put in writing,
so uplifting, warm and inviting.

To write, many years it took
More than a card, it's a book
of letters written to you
from God, so you'd know they're true.

He gave you fields of flowers,
and through your faith, great powers.
In love, He died in your place
then offered you heaven by grace.

A valentine that eternally lasts
healing regrets of the past,
lifting weights of deepest sorrows
and worries of unknown tomorrows.

It's many love stories unfold
with treasures more precious than gold.
We can better our lives all the time,
reading the bible, our valentine.

Rae that was the first and only valentine poem I have ever seen written to our lord and savior God.  I was so touched by it.  It was so well written and inspired me to love.  Thank you.

Thank you, Kim.  I wrote that one a few years ago, but thought it fit for Valentine's day, because God's love is the greatest love anyone could ever have. Wouldn't every heavy aching heart be better  knowing how much they're loved by our Savior?

Thank you, Joyce, for reading and your kind response.  Although I believed in God for years, I really was unaware of His awesome love for us.  I wonder how any others are like I was, thus the post.

Thank you both for reading and commenting.

It is my prayer that someone will feel more loved and cared for by reflecting on God's unconditional love for us as told in the bible.

Happy Valentine's Day to all.
