Reminders
By Larry Chadwick

God gave the gift of the sunshine,
And it reminds me of you.
God gave the gift of the moon,
And it makes me think of you.

God gave the gift of the stars,
And the brightest reminds me of you.
God gave me the generous gift of you,
And it continually reminds me of Him.

January 14, 2005

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Wow, Larry, I'm going to send this to my son.  His birthday is tomorrow.  I couldn't imagine anything nicer or more fitting.

Thank you,

Beautiful.  I hope this poem is about a person who is living still and not passed on for it would be a sin for them to not know how much you love them.  Excellent write.  Sitrred my soul greatly.

Thank you Marge. I wrote it in church in the middle of the sermon. Not sure where it even came from.

jody5,
Thank you for such kind words.

Ah dear Joyce,
You are a gem. How I admire you and your writing. These blue walls would never be the same without you.

sandgrain,
God must have determined the timing. And that is very kind of you.

Sheri,
Given my experience it has dual meaning. It applies to two women that I adore. My wonderful wife and my deceased daughter. So hopefully that helps to satisfy us both. And thank you for such generous words.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Ah dear friend, that did feel good. Thank you.
