Eloi lama sabachthani!
Why have you chosen me to die?
This thought that plagues my waking sleep
when I can hear the children weep.

What will people say of me,
this simple man from Galilee.
As I teach across this land
will the people understand?
Will the people come to know
the One who I try to show?

Eloi lama sabachthani!
No matter how much I try
I can't escape that bitter pill;
I must surrender free will.

My God, what have You done
showing people I'm the one?
I'm just a man from Galilee.
Why must I the world free
and for the Kingdom to begin
I must shoulder all their sins?

Eloi lama sabachthani!
I can hear my mother cry.
But now I finally see
My God, I must abandon me.

In Your hands is my spirit.
In Your hands is my spirit.

There is not a single doubt in my mind that this is the best of your best.

Easy to understand, and very very strange that I was just having a conversation about something like this with a friend.

wow.

(serenity looks up)

WOW.

Super! A few years ago, in constant extreme pain I begged to be relieved of, I thought of how Christ went through much worse WILLINGLY for us.  I blows the mind!

  God bless,

A very true statement at the very end.  It is our selves that we must give up in order to make Christ's sacrifice worth it.  Very well thought out and a very clear message.

Back to the top, because I have read it again, and I loved it again and I don't care if I'm annoying or not--I want others to read it too.
