In Humble Gratitude

We'll gather this Thanksgiving Day
With many whom we hold most dear,
To celebrate with festive feast
And thanks for an abundant year.

One day of thanks is not enough
To praise You Lord for all You've done,
In keeping safe these folks we love,
And blessing every single one.

We pray that others feel your grace
And feed from Your unstinting hand,
That famine, war and pestilence
Be banished from our beloved land.

May hurricanes and tidal waves
Be relegated to the past;
May those who suffered through these woes,
Find comfort, homes and peace to last.

May all who stand in need of care
Call out Your name and find You there.

What a beautiful prayer, Joyce!  I read it a couple of times to make sure I'd drink in all it encompasses.  We have so much to be thankful for.

Wishing you a joyous Thanksgiving with lots of loved ones to share it with.

God bless you and yours,

   Rae

Oh! Joyce!

What a beautiful poetic prayer!!!  We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia but I feel that Thanksgiving should be an everyday event!
I received my first Thanksgiving card ever from Betty Lou Heberts son Ron!  I'm still grinning like a Cheshire Cat!!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!

Love Verbena xo
