I stepped outside this morning,
As dawn gently started the day,
I watched the garden come to life,
As dayshine found its way.
I felt Your presence out there,
In the swaying of the trees,
I saw it in the dew drops,
As they clung to just born leaves.
You stood in the woodland shadows,
Near the sweet little angle pair,
Whose chimes sent delicate whispers,
Through the lilac scented air.
You nodded toward the weathered bench,
Nearly hidden by daisies and ferns,
The place You'd chosen this morning,
To hear my joys and concerns.
Like two old friends we chatted,
Even shed a few tears and a laugh,
But I found Your grace in the prayers we shared,
Right there on that garden path.

Bonnie~
Just day before yesterday, I passed a church where as a teenager I had attended a wedding and was reminded of the most beautiful hymnal sung that day ... "I Come To The Garden Alone" ... oh, how very much this spiritual beauty you've written reminded me once again of that lovely day~

Thank you~

What a lovely experience of being close to the Lord... His presence is felt strongly in nature, I believe. I really liked this!

His bringing up is beauty
Who loves him not is mad
For I must pay him duty

This is absolutely gorgeous.  Life is everywhere, as God is everywhere, and it is a wonderful gift to be able to feel His presence as you have in this poem.  It comes across beautifully in your words.

Thanks for sharing this with us.
