      Welcome Friends

(A Tribute to WhtDove)

She was the one to Welcome us
the one who’d gone before
who wrote upon these blue pages
of God whom she adored
and so she was to venture out
to touch so many lives
in ways that none could ever doubt
the Love she had for Christ
a Love beyond all boundaries
a Love beyond compare
a Love that brought us to our knees
to think she’d not be here
but, now, what’s feared has come to pass
a sore reality
that no new words shall come alas
until His face we see
and then what’s heard? --familiar words--
“Come Friends Eternally.”

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

What a way to spew forth your words of hope and love even in a time of loss. Just as a light house spews forth its message of hope to lost ships. thank you

This is a beautiful tribute to Rebecca. She welcomed me here with open arms and was always there even when things in her life were falling apart. She is and was a gracious, loving person and if truly there are angels on earth she was one.
What a wonderful way to remember her. Thank you.

Amazing, Bob!!  The love and life of Rebecca will surly not be forgotten....not with friends and writers such as yourself!  Your poem makes me wish that I would have been here a LOT sooner...to get to know her the way you all knew her.  Thank God her words live on here and her love lives on through all of you!!

God bless you all!!  And rest in peace, Sweet Rebecca...will meet you someday!!

Thanks, Bob, for sharing this one...and I will be putting it in the library!

Hugs...

Becka

God Bless You and again Welcome Friend. -Bob

Her words, your words, echo in all their beauty in our hearts and the sound of love they produce keeps us connected always.
Until we meet again.
Thank you dear Bob for this beautiful tribute.

Probably only you can appreciate the horrendous suffering she experienced before our Lord took her home, Bob.  You were  an inspriration for hanging in there as long as she did.  This is a beautiful tribute.  Also appreciate your reposting your earlier write of a white dove. They're in the book of her poetry put together for Tim and the children. We used to read your poetry and marvel at the devotion beauty.

Rebecca's with her brother now, and somehow that comforts me.

May God richly bless you,
  Rae

Rae (sandgrain),

Like you've written here, there is such comfort in knowing that Rebecca is in a much much better place now where she will not suffer any longer "the horrendous sufferings" in which she suffered here her last days on earth and where she will be joined with loved ones who have already gone on before to be where she is now in Heaven. It's so very comforting to hear from you and to hear your perspective and of your faith during this time of great loss not only to you but to all of us as we, all who had the opportunity to know Rebecca, so loved and appreciated her so very very dearly. Know that you are in our prayers and I do thank you so very much for keeping us informed and for treating us like family. I am very honored to have my poems included in Rebecca's book of poetry to be shared with family. Thank you. May God continue to bless and to comfort you and yours during this time of healing. God bless you. -Bob
