Beloved Gift God sent his Son so long ago To take away all earthly woe, But many hearts were closed in sin. The Holy Gift could not get in Thus we still have unholy wars, The greed and shame our God abhors. He sent His Son to bring us love, Fresh from the Heavens up above. Those who have listened to his plea Are from their sin forever free. Love was the message that he brought, Love for all men the lesson taught. A most lovely picture of Jesus you paint with your words here. Oh, how very much he longs for fellowship with those who have turned from him. I do have a praise report in regards to "unholy wars" in that my son has come home safe form Iraq and I have been spending the past few months with him catching up on lost time... Such beautiful words you write about our Savior, Joyce!! Thank you SO much for sharing and I will be keep this one.  And Bob, I am SOOO thankful that your son came home safely!!! PRAISE GOD!!! My cousin will be going back over there next month for at LEAST six months...so prayers would be helpful on his behalf too. Course...I think it is safe to say that ALL of the men and women over there need our prayers and support...for the incredible job that they are doing in keeping our homeland safe.
