I hold my head up high,
Awaiting your judgments to fall upon my soul.
So that I can finally sink my head in humility,
For all the wrong, for all that I’ve done right.
The humble brokenness I wished upon my life,
The stars I wished to soar among,
The longing I have for the everlasting peace.
My head has sunk as I have become undignified,
But for you I give my life.
For you have already given me your life, and you wear my scars with dignity.
I pray for forgiveness and everlasting love, agape God, unconditional. Forevermore.
The stars shine, and heaven waits.
Can I lift my head and be humble? Or did my sins go unforgivin?
Your word says I will be forgiven in this I trust. I this I move onward,
Chasing my destiny, in You.
