Huddling in the dark

I went one night to walk among the evergreens
while there, I cried out to the Lord.
"God! Why did you make me? Why must I be so alone?"
Then came a gentle breeze,
and with it came a soft whispering voice.
"My child, when I made people I gave them the right to choose. However, there is always someone in your corner. You are never alone."
I went a little further and another question came.
"My father, I'm lost. I can't seem to find the light."
Again came the gentle brezze it surrouned me like a well known friend.
"My dear child, I did not make you to wander this world alone. I made you to seek me, to love me as I love you. You are never alone."
I had one last question to ask, so I stopped and knelt by the tallest evergreen.
"Daddy, what if I stumble and fall again? I don't want to be alone."
This time the Lord came in the shape of a dove.
"My dear, I didn't make you to be perfect. You will stumble, however; choose to fall on me. You will never be alone."

This is such an honest and warming write.
I've travelled neath the evergreens many, many times... and asked those same questions. Well done...
God bless you.
