Men’s prayers rise to heaven
out of many different temples,
cathedrals, mosques, synagogues,
basilicas, chapels, monasteries,
all the sacred places of the world,
in a great variety of tongues.

Through the channels of our hearts
prayers rise to touch Spirit Divine.
All our voices join together in one Song,
in the depth of our souls it is born.

Like luminous silver threads
the prayers rise to the One
Who goes by many names.
The Angels gather the strings
and form sparkling bouquets
to place at His Holy feet.

Like flowers of many colors
prayers spread their fragrance
and are welcomed in upper realms
in their essence of authentic love
stripped of all egoistic desires,
when they are pure children’s talk.

Whether they are shouted or whispered
from atop the highest mountains
or from the vast expanse of deserts,
or even if they are just a single sigh,
no distinction is made by the One,
Universe listens and cares for all.

Through the channels of our hearts
prayers rise to touch Spirit Divine.
All our voices join together in one Song,
in the depth of our souls it is born.
