His Gift of Hope

God planted seeds of hope in me,
Before I ever came to be.
I guess He knew that I would need
The blessing of each tiny seed,
To see me through the times of trial.
To lift me up and help me smile,
Even though I couldn't see
What might lie ahead of me.
His gift of hope, that dwells within,
Has often helped me race and win
In life's mad scramble to survive
And kept my faith in Him, alive!

This is beautiful Betty and I really believe the seeds we need are already planted.  We just need to water and nourish.  Jyce

Amen Trillium -
I'm with Joyce - Sometimes we don't feed the seeds we have, those little glimmers of hope that shine within us and keep us going.  I have to say one of the reasons I enjoy visiting this spiritual forum is the positive reads of hope I find here.  This poem is a great example of that.  In essence God himself is the seed in all of us and he so eagerly wants to grow inside us.  All we have to do is let him.  Thank you for this write of truth.  Made me feel good about all those little seeds I sometimes neglect inside myself.  God bless you - Tim
