Cloud Brother Brown Feather

Across the golden stretch of feathered seas
the clockwork pass bears return to rest
Within the wandering haze of asphalt trees
a mind adrift falls behind the steering time
O solitary friend so charmed and blessed
a sight amiss finds you perched upon a sending line

O Cloud Brother grant the day a vision of your flight
for your touch of wonder floats within the windy sway
Your sturdy humble essence brings harvest to repairing light
and a treasured sense of common air within our souls
You complacently observe as your golden waves dissolve away
so that our clockwork restless stories might be told

With your steely gaze and ruffled breast
O Brown Feather grant the day a vision of your wings
A fated chance upon you away from your nest
is pleasant charity for exhausted bothered eyes
Your nature’s spirit charms bestow securing things
so trace your winding gliding circles that fall atop the sky

Timothy~
This is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful things I'll get the opportunity to read this day~

Oh my ... you've written it so tenderly and vividly ... I was there~

Thank you for this vision of feathered grace~

Wow - I really wasn't expecting such a great response from this poem  - Thank you so much all of you.  I have almost always just wrote about emotion and the things that go on inside us, but lately combining that with the elegant beauty of nature has helped me produce some works that I have truly enjoyed writing.  This poems means a lot to me because when my wife(who is Native American) and I started dating she informed me that in her tribe it was good luck to see a hawk.  She liked the way I was always pointing them out soaring around here in Oklahoma.  Ever since then my combined love of them and her input has helped me develop a great love for the species.  I think that I will write much more about the things of nature I enjoy so much.

Sorry for the long response to your responses.. lol

God bless you all - Tim

I loved this Tim.  Up here it is also good luck to the First Nations to see a hawk, and the combination the ancient's spiritualism with the modern is a beauiful blending indeed.  I bet she loved this poem, seems we did here.

(smiles) Oh Timothy, this is absolutely beautiful, sweet friend, my Native American Indians would absolutely love this as it holds true to the essence of the flight of the Holy Spirit! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Timothy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
