I feel pulled, I don't know what to think.
God is telling me to do this,
yet I so long to do that.
If I give in to him I might lose my life,
If I don't I'm damned to lose it still.
It's my curse to constantly be in battle with him.
My head and my heart
with God smack dab in the middle.
I've been called to do this task,
Yet I don't know if it's for me to do at all.

Welcome to Passions.

You express your doubts well. It happens that we fight our inner battles.... I think when we listen in silence and seek, we will hear His call clearly within our hearts.

Thank you.
Love, Margherita

Thank-you. It's nice to have people answer me honestly about my poems. I look forward to writing more.

Christioned - Welcome!

Wow - a great way to start out here at Passions.  I personally have been away for awhile but coming back to read a new poet's poem that is so good is rewarding.  I deeply understand your poem, and it helps me sometimes to realize that even though we go into fights with God's will - remember - some choose not to fight at all.  I believe God will bless you simply for seeing the war inside you.  Some choose simply to only see thier own way.  Yes, the real trick is to follow that narrow road - a lot of times I don't when I should have.

God bless you, thank you, and Welcome - Tim

I'm certainly no poet, just a verse writer they allow to be a part of this great family.  However, I love your offering.  I feel your tug of war going on, it was so well put. Welcome!
Reminds me of a story. One man said he has 2 dogs fighting inside him. The other said, "Well, let me know which one wins." "Oh, that's easy,"  said the first, "It's always the one I feed."

Peace always comes to a troubled spirit when one trusts in God. I will pray for you. Grover.
