Its kind of long...I promise there's a good ending - I have experienced this and its awesome!! Father in heaven, I am so blind, so arrogant and ignorant That I did not see how powerful and pure that You are I did not see my stain Only some mistakes in my life I did not see how I listened to Your enemy How I agreed with the liar again and again How I have treated You with disrespect and disregard How with corruption I spent my days - and how I did not see myself displeasing You in any way But You have opened my eyes and I see I stand before One mighty enough to kill me and punish me forever I stand before You and realize I am in trouble I have not obeyed You, nor regarded You as important and yet You have put breath in my chest and counted every hair upon my head I am afraid and I am imperfect and unworthy to be anywhere near You Because sin is real And I have sinned I kneel before You and I cry and am filled with shame And I hear the words deep in my soul I forgive you And then I hear You say Stand up and lift your chin I stand and realize the King of all kings is smiling at me Smiling at me. And I am forgiven |

This isn't about my petty deeds, rather finding Someone real who strikes awe into my heart; and knowing that I have been in the presence of greatness, and the wonderful knowing that I am deeply loved and cherished by Him - and that He has power to do things that I wouldn't like; rather He chooses to love me. Michelle; I appreciate your caring words to me - I just want to make sure you know that I'm not feeling a guilt trip; rather something wonderful and extraordinary.  |
