The Scheme of Things

Oh Lord, who calls your sheep by name,
How could we doubt you'd do the same
For all of us, who struggle here,
To make our way, year after year.
We know you see the sparrow fall.
Is man more precious after all?
You value every life, we know
And when it is our time to go,
Will we rise up on snowy wings?
Where are we in the scheme of things?
A bird is innocent and free.
I wish that could be said, of me!

I was told, though I never actually looked into it myself, that at that time the sparrow was looked down upon as an unwanted creature... And yet He noticed even them.
So comforting to know that even though we really were/are worthless.. he bought us with blood.
Thank you for this!

Always, Alyssa

(big angel hugs) God Bless You, dearest friend, you ask such deep questions that I believe only time will answer but He certainly will instruct us to fly as He is the master sky pilot! (sigh) This is most beautiful, sweet friend, He always feeds his sparrows, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

This reminds me of a 'conversation' once stated in a book between God and a jellyfish.  He was asking the Jellyfish what they thought all of His creation was for...them or mankind.  The jellyfish was puzzled.  It responded:  "Mankind?  What is that you speak of?  You mean those things over there on the edge of our world?"  I didn't phrase it verbatum from the book, but it was similar.  Basically, the jellyfish thought all of creation was for them.  And the next creature God approached with the same question, answered the same way.  Each thought creation was for them.

I like how you used the bird here to show that every living thing is precious.  Every single thing, God has made, is precious.

wow, what an impact this has....it says so much more in this short verse, yet leaving it up to the reader to insert his or her own guilt or innocence...it is hard after we view our weaknesses and sin to accept the love and the cleansing ...sigh...but oh...so wonderful when we are able.....
