Night of Glory

I wonder how the shepherds felt
When by our Savior's bed they knelt
And gazed at Him with awe and joy.
The angels told them that this boy
Would grow to be the King of all.
They didn't know what would befall
In future years, but only knew
This moment, they must harken to!
The glory that surrounded all
Who listened to the angel's call,
Has not been seen on earth since then.
No wonder that these humble men
Were overwhelmed and speechless too
Before this Holy scene, on view.
How hard it must have been to go
Back to their flocks. The great star's glow
Illuminated hills and they
Could very easily find their way.
Down through the years, this tale they told,
So wonder could again unfold!

What a beautiful description of the Christmas story! It's wonderful how He came to us, isn't it? Have a blessed New Year.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

Dear Betty,
I just found this one, too, but that's because I have been reading through the year of yours plus your other websites.

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, I always cry reading the birth of Christ story over and over as such a Love so strong can bring strength to ones heart yet leave one feeling weak by its utmost power! (kiss on cheek) May the Light forever shine bright as the North Star, this is precious, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah:  Thanks for your comments on this poem. I am looking forward to seeing the move "The Passion" with Mel Gibson. I guess he does a marvelous job of portraying Jesus and it's extememly moving.
