A Place To Be

Curled up,
in mono retreat
wishing for your words
the ones of promises spoken.
I know they are there,
because when you speak
your words aren't token.
But somehow I slip away from you
Even though I've seen what you can do
I long to be cradled in your comfort,
Lord please bring me on home.
No matter what happens in this life
I can't seem to rise, and stay above it all.
I always feel like I let you down, I'm broken
For all my life I could feel you calling me.
Take me home. Give me a place to be.
One of those mansions I do not want.
Just let me feel the golden streets.
Let me, please let me
be with you.
let me heal.
