As many try to create a world of hope in this darkened world of sin,
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Knowing the pain that He would feel for us, for on the cross He bled,
Christ said blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Prideful men exalt themselves, while they seek only temporal worth,
But Jesus says blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

As empty people always seek more, as their focus is only self-willed,
Blessed are men who hunger for righteousness as they will be filled.

One day God's Grace will end and Wrath is what the godless will see,
While blessed will be the merciful, for they'll be shown God's Mercy.

The vile hearted will be sent into outer darkness by The Lord's rod,
But Christ said blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

We all need to share the Gospel of Peace wherever are feet may trod,
For blessed are the peacemakers, for we will be called sons of God.

Blessed are Believers, who are persecuted because of righteousness,
For the Cross of Christ to this dying world doesn't make much sense.

Blessed are we when people insult us, because of the name of Christ,
For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to us, and He'll make things right.

Rejoice and be glad, for they also persecuted the prophets before us.
So in the footsteps of the prophets, in God's love we need to trust.

He's coming very soon, the signs are very clear,
And when that trumpet sounds, we’ll be otta here!
Waiting in Him with Great Expectation,  Bob Gott

What an interesting way to rewrite the be-attitudes.  Nicely done.
