I've buried myself alive again,
beneath lies, lust, deceit, and sin.
And as I lie six feet under,
I begin to hear a gentle thunder.

An ear-splintering whisper, calling to me,
To come forth out of my grave and be
The man that I've been running from,
My eyes squint from the rays of the sun.

A sun that once shown brightly through,
a life so blessed and a heart once true.
I've been raised from the dead,
as the gentle thunder still rumbles in my head.

Wooing me back out of the dirt,
calming my fear and healing my hurt.
This whisper that I no longer strain to hear,
has renewed my spirit and redeemed my years.

its so great how God calls for us even when we've gone so far down we think there's no hope.
Well written, like this

(sigh) I am so happy to hear of these happy endings where you found the strength and heard His whisper, sweet friend, always know how loved you are and that you are special and a true friend of Him! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

This was a magnificent poem that i very much needed to hear. It is amazing how you can get the strength to start anew despite how far down you believe you have gone.
