So sad,
endless torture;
forever streaming tears.
Heart still aching;
Spirit yearning to be freed from all its fears

Mind still wandering and waiting;
Soul still praying, constantly debating:
Shall I live my life, or shall I die?
Who will answer my desperate cry?

I am so imperfect
Almost incapable of doing anything right.
Hopeless it seems,
to break away from these obstacles
which seem to hold me tight.

Everything negative surrounds me;
nothing positive to be breathed.
Grimaced expression;
with anger my soul ‘tis seethed.

An unknown door is opened
to a secret place of which I was unaware.
The room is now filled with a warm presence;
someone is answering my prayer.
Bright face, tender touch;
you caught me with your loving stare.
I need not struggle to breathe anymore,
No more strained gasps for air.

Restoration;
You have given me new life
My heart was in pain; but you healed me
by pulling out affliction’s knife
There is no more fear
for I know you will stay near
To your plans I adhere

Barred down no more
my spirit is free
I know you will always answer my feeble plea
“Jesus…Please, take hold of me.”

I run faithfully in this race
your peace I embrace
still I thank you
for your extensions of grace

Constantly looking out for me
bringing me to the light
steering me in the right direction
providing a way out in any plight
Grabbing, taking hold of me
helping me through the fight

I stand strong, you hold me secure
I am bolder and braver
yet humbled and pure

There is hope yet
By you my course has been set
Other beings may be a threat
but you are with me, I need not fret.

No longer lonely
With you I am satisfied
I am no longer searching
in you I will abide.

Thanx guys. It is very refreshing to be tucked away in His safe guard. It's great to know there will always be someone to take hold of us when we are slipping.
