~* Just Me, Twilight and God *~

Day’s shade is gently falling.
Sunshine retracts her brightest light.
All around me seems so still,
as time passes from day to night.

I find myself more serene,
As sky turns crimson and gold.
The harvest moon soon to appear,
Many lovers’ stories will be told.

The last rays of the setting sun
warm gently on my face,
silhouettes of trees begin to dance
intricate steps like fine lace.

Yes this is twilight time,
again a gift of sheer delight,
As once again, I thank the Lord
As he turns this day to night.

As every day passes me by,
I give thanks for its special gift.
Just to know that nature’s there for me,
I thank God again for his uplift.

~*~

Sometimes when our load just seems just too heavy, I sit outside at the time of day when twilight approaches as it helps to clear out the cobwebs.

Try it, you might like it!

            Carpe' Diem
The Canuck, Sharon

(smiles) Oh Sharon, I'm so happy you've posted here, sweet friend, I always thought your poetry would be perfect for Spiritual and your heart truly knows the beauty of dawn and dusk as I believe they truly are the most artistic displays of art in all the world, with God always waking and putting our children to sleep peacefully! (kiss on cheek) I too am always rejuvenated by seeing the pretty colors of dawn and twilight, sweet friend, God Bless You, your heart always has something golden to share, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thanks Noah, I write tons of spiritual poems but usually for myself.  I prefer to moderate in here and read everyone's wonderful poetry instead of filling these wonderful coffers with my "stuff."  I decided to share this one as this was a picture taken at Ambelside that I sent to Nan, as she stood in that exact spot once - beautiful isn't it?  That is God's way yanno

Sky is not the only thing that turns from crimson to gold. You've done that very well yourself...

Marti - maybe one day you and Ron will come and stand in this very spot?  I would love that.

We stood on that spot waiting.. and waiting.. and waiting (you should've seen Sharon pacing)... for a sunset - to no avail.  It just wasn't the right night.

This one tells it all though - Beautiful place isn't it?  Your spiritual stuff needs to be included more, Sharon - because it's GOOD!!...

You know - I have had some real rough spots this year, and I just kept applying to moderate this forum as it provides the glue that keeps the spiritual part of me afloat.  Once again, you all are my raft in a sea of unknowns that trouble me, and for that I thank you kindly.

I will share more of these and again, thanks.

Ahh the twilight atmosphere! Your words are so beautiful, dear Sharon. I think it is the hour of melancholy but in the same moment of deep longing for the mysteries to unveil ... we yearn to be embraced by God's love.
Love, Margherita

Sharon,

you know this actually reads like
a prayer . . .
I am thankful, yes truly
I have much to be thankful for
and you have just reminded me
of one thing I am grateful for
*smile*

(I did mean you btw)
Beautiful writing and yes
my favorite time too
xxoo

That body of water is begging for a small little boat, bobbing in the wakes...

Thank you Mysteria.  Extremely lovely in its gentle mists...

I wish that everyone I know at Passions could come and stand in this very spot, as it is the most serene, and spiritual place I know to be.  At the close of day, if you time it right (which we didn't when Nan was here) you can actually see Vancouver Island from that spot, in the background.  Well thank you everyone you are inspiring to me.

Is there anything - anything at all better than being with peace in yourself and your surroundings?  I think not - it took me years to get to this wonderful place, and it was through faith that one day it would come.  Thank you all so much for standing on the shore of the beach in my home area of West Vancouver, B.C., in Canada.
