Everyday Blessings

What blessings will I find today
In mundane things that come my way?
They're always there, I've but to look.
I even find them when I cook!
An egg is beautiful to me.
Its separate parts, a trinity
Of yolk and white, of fragile shell
And yet it fucntions very well,
If it is treated with respect.
It has a message, I suspect!

An apple too, is three-part made,
With peel and fruit and seeds are laid
Within its core, where they don't show,
But if you plant them, they will grow!
No matter what it is at hand,
I like to try and understand
How much God loved us from the start
And how He thought of every part
Of life we'd live and what we'd need
So to complete each daily deed!

It was a monumental task,
Yet all we have to do is ask
And still today, He answers prayers.
Shows in so many ways He cares!
Displays in things both small and grand,
The wonders of this world He planned!

Now this was absolutely wonderful!  I loved how you showed the various layers of not only the fruit and the egg, but also the layers of his very blessings.  This one is truly a keeper Betty Lou.

Ms. Betty...This is a wonderful poem. It got me to thinking how would some things survive without all of it's parts, like the egg without it's shell or the apple without its seeds or the body without our faith in God...Paul

What a joyous and insightful poem. I never realized how many things come in threes and their significance to the Trinity. A brilliant observation on your part.

Thank you for sharing this. It now causes me to ponder many things.

Hugs, Marti

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, His blessings are found in everything natural! (kiss on cheek) I believe my favorite one of all is the sand dollar, which together represents the whole of Jesus, and the five holes representing His wounds, but then if broken apart, it turns into five angels of hope! (smiles) I found one in Oregon and am so blessed to have it, yay, this is a gorgeous poem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Noah:  Thanks so much for your message.  I have sand dollars I picked up on beaches in Oregon too!  Mine came from the Newport, Depoe Bay area.  I really treasure them for the same reasons you do!

Hello Betty Lou

It is the simple things in life that really mean the most but too many of us are too busy to stop and smell the roses, so to speak.  I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply but I have had computer problems for over a week and it is only now that I have been able to read my emails.....so very frustrating I can tell you.  I hope all is well in your life.

Take care......Sue

Hi Sue:  Thanks for writing. I know how totyally frustrating computer problems are!
Glad you are back online.

My oldest son had to have a second surgery on his damaged leg last Friday. He is home today but in a lot of pain.  My husband dislocated his knee last Tuesday and has been laid up ever since.  At least they will both recover, given some time. Other than that, things are much the same here.

Hope you and your family are well.

Love
Betty Lou
