Deliverance

Without Your rains dear Father
The danger of fire looms.
We've stressed about our gardens
While others lose their homes.

Forgive this selfish attitude,
Please keep them in your care;
The firemen and the others
Who in the danger share.

We thank You for Your blessings, Lord
And know the rains will come.
We humbly pray it is before
It is too late for some.

We wreak havoc with our wars, Lord
And go our willful way;
By just witholding needed rains
You show Your might today.

Mankind struggles to be master
And all the world to own.
Remorseful we admit our fate
Lies in Your hands alone.

And now that we are humbled,
We finally can dare
To ask for Your forgiveness.
Extend Your holy care.

Amen

Joyce:  What a timely prayer! There are still so many fires and we have been in heavy smoke here, for a couple of days. The smoke is from the Missoula, Montana area, but they are burning grass fields to the south of us and that is also impacting the area. We know God sees what is happening and have to trust it is all part of His plan.

Dear Betty,  I am sruprised that they dare burn fields.  All fires are strictly banned here.  It is tinder dry.  I am not in the forest but grass and field fires send sparks.  They are saying we may get rain by the next weeekend after this.  Love, Joyce
