Thank You Thank You, Dear Lord, for quenching rain, The thirsty earth will thrive again. You've tested us with burning drought; To show us we can't live without Your ever-loving tender care; Reminding us to do our share. I'm sure You have heard me complain That You were sending too much rain, Thinking it a miss-timed blessing, With a plan of mine 'twas messing. Plans for picnic or barbecue Can change.It's strictly up to You. Forgive my selfish attitude; Accept this poem as gratitude. Amen. Joyce 8/9/03 |

Joyce: We haven't gotten that much-needed rain yet, except for showers last Sunday, which did very little to help the drought. We did have thunder storms one night this week, that ignited 5 more fires in our area. I'm glad you are getting rain where you are and I really like this poem! Betty Lou Hebert |
