Dear friend a double-minded man is indeed unstable in all his ways,
Hypocrisy and ambivalence seem to overwhelm his night and days.
When confronted with a trial, anger and hostility he seems to raise,
Very seldom if ever, does he lift up our dear Lord's name in praise.

More often than not, the problems that he has are of his very own,
And although he says he loves the Lord, he remains upon the throne.
Being critical of those around him he's quick to criticize and moan,
Little does he know that when they see him that inwardly they groan.

He changes very little, like a man who looks in a mirror every day,
He leaves forgetting what he looks like and he continues on his way.
If your image reminds you who you are, it should humble you to pray,
When you forget whose image you must reflect is when you go astray.

Pleased with what he sees outside, he sees no need to change within,
So he continues with a critical spirit that alone is filled with sin.
If you look to Jesus in the mirror, when you leave you think of Him,
And throughout your day, He will keep your heart far away from sin.

My friend, John the Baptist is a fine example, this you can be sure,
He followed Jesus by being less so in his life He would become more.
What was said concerning John by the One who's knocking on our door?
“There has not risen anyone greater”, a single-minded man for sure.

He's coming very soon, the signs are very clear,
And when that trumpet sounds, we’ll be otta here!
Waiting in Him with Great Expectation,  Bob Gott

Yes it behooves us all to take a good look at that person in the mirror.  Joyce

Most of us are “just human”. It’s a personal battle to remain focused. I once knew a man that would always say ‘Praise the Lord’. I now realize this is how he kept focused on the Lord.

Thanks,

I think there are lots of things that factor in to this *double-mindedness.* Sometimes what looks one way on the outside may not always be what's going on on the inside. My focus is not so much on the fact a person *seems* not so stable in the Lord, but the "why" are they? Just because it looks like someone doesn't seem so comitted doesn't mean it's so. I would more focus on praying for them to find their way. A clearer path to Him. Whatever that might be. It's for sure He knows. He knows what we need even when we don't. I think God knows the *intents* of our heart, and it's *His* job to convict us of our sin. In the meantime I think we are to be his servants in helping the person, rather than to find fault. If I see someone that seems to not be going the road they should to the Lord then that's my cue to pray for them, but not until AFTER I have prayed about my own flaws first, and THEN ask for guidance to come to this person, and for Him to light their path. We *ALL* are STILL human to some degree as long as we are on this Earthly plane, and not yet in the Heavens! None of us have *arrived* until we are in His presence. I want to channel my energy in making a better me so I think I will use that energy to *help* rather than make a person feel the burden of being made to feel they are being hammered by condemning words. I hope this is met with loving thoughts, because that's the spirit in which they were written!! *He* is our love, and power, and our source!!! In that I can never forget!

(big hugggsssssss) He knows all...and sees all...and the liars and hypocrites will get what they deserve as double-mindedness often leads to harm and suffering to others! (sad sigh) Being headstrong and stalwart with love is the only proper etiquette, dearest friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bob, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
