Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer.
Let not the heart be faint with the sound of my voice.
Bring those I love, and yet to meet, nearer
Let not my voice be as clamor, let it be of angels choice.

I pray thee keep my tongue instead, deliver it from all trespass
Give to it life, not dread, keep it from vain babblings each day
Help my tongue to speak of all good, not of woe, and alas
Let it speak life, rejoice of you and your ways!!!

Thank you so much for the welcome. I appreciate that so much, and the kind comment. I am glad you liked. Words we speak can hurt that's for sure. We have to be on guard to watch what we say to people. Thank you for reading me, and God Bless you!

Thanks Melton...I appreciate the welcome, and the comment.. Feels nice to read this comment. Much appreciated. I have been seeing the name Melton so I am glad to know what your nickname is. I will be looking for 2dalimit to say a hello, and give what my heart tells me to say. I don't know a thing about critiquing..I just say what comes to my mind at the time. Thanks again for the read. I needed that right at this time.

Thank you Mystic Dreamer...It's a goal to focus on all things coming from my mouth be something that lifts the person. Sometimes that's a challenge. I have to bite my tongue. Thank you for the encouragement.

Thank you so much Songbird, and Saunni. I am glad you liked. It's a prayer of mine to keep my tongue in check. It is my prayer in the mornings as I start the day.

Thanks bgryan...I have to bite my tongue sometimes. I just about had to do it today thinking I was going to defend myself. I may still fall flat on my face, and not win on this prayer today still yet...just not sure.

Thanks for reading. I am glad you enjoyed!

(smiles) God Bless You, dearest friend, I just discovered this wonderful golden debut post of yours as I went back to catch up from all the wonderful poems I missed while on vacation in Ireland during the summer and I love it! (kiss on cheek) This is a beautiful prayer that I just know will be answered, sweet friend, God Bless You, your tongue speaks with love and faith! I am so happy you're here at Passions among our wonderful family, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shara, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Thank you so much Noah ...I am glad you liked these. You lifted my spirits. They were written from my heart. I appreciate that you took the time to look back to my first submit. I wanted to write from my soul, because I was searching for a place to call a poetry home. Just wanted to *try* to give as a gift for allowing me to come, and stay. and more
