Tears

God gave us methods to express
Emotions of all kinds, I guess.
We use them,  as each of us lives
And thank Him for these gifts He gives.
It's true we'd rather laugh and smile,
But sorrow strikes, once in awhile
And when it does, the tears that fall,
We sometimes hide from one and all
And feel ashamed to let them see,
What we perceive as cowardly.

But tears are part of who we are
And when the heart receives a jar,
It's only natural we should cry.
Most people understand just why,
Because they've gone through the same thing,
So through each troubled time, we cling
To those we know can comprehend
And to our Everlasting Friend!

Joyce:  Thanks for responding and of course, you're right.  Crying is part of living, sometimes.

Margherita:  Thanks for your comments. I can remember I used to feel guilty when I would cry, as I was growing up, as though it showed a weakness of some kind. As I grew closer to God, I realized tears were part of who we are.

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, dearest friend, it truly saddens me to see men stereotyped as not to cry or it is not right to cry and I absolutely don't believe that. I believe to express tears whatsoever is a strength, a gift, and I cry quite a lot but am proud of it so everyone can see my emotions, that I care and they can read me! (sigh) And I thank God for giving us the ability to cry, to laugh, to smile and believe, sweet friend, this is a most beautiful poem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Betty, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah:  I agree with you and think men are meant to use all their emotions, as much as women.  Why else were they given to all of us?  Thanks.
