Tending My Garden Dear God, You gave me Eden With a wealth of flower seeds; But when You planned my garden Why did You add the weeds? Was it to keep me grounded And down upon my knees? A time to count my blessings; Ignore small ills like these? It's another of life's lessons; We each have our row to hoe. The better that we tend our life, The more useful we shall grow. Joyce: I like your poem! I was weeding the other day in the raspberry patch and found some weeds that were a close imitation. It fascinates me, how many times weeds try to take on the appearance of the plants they are growing with. Betty Lou Hebert |
