Jesus Smiled

Pictures of Jesus, show His mien,
As being sad or full of pain
And yet we know He must have smiled.
Especially when with a child.
We know He loved them, there's no doubt
And enjoyed having them about.
He must have laughed with them, to see,
Their antics and their drollery.
They surely sensed how much He cared
And all their secrets, with Him shared.
That special bond will never end,
For children know, He is their friend.

He must have laughed with family,
Attending scenes of revelery.
Weddings, birthdays, celebrations.
Visiting with His relations.
Though Holy, He was still a man,
With all the feelings humans can
Experience and so it seems,
He might have slept and dreamed men's dreams
And in the light of every day,
Smiled at the sights that came His way,
Where humor brightened life a spell.
I think He smiled and laughed as well!

For Christ is pure and with a child as such. You have touched onto something very nice here. A beautiful reminder. Enjoyed.

I think Jesus and God both smile and perhaps laugh at the foibles of man.  Very nicely done.  Joyce

I would hate to think Jesus lived on earth for thirty three years and never smiled or laughed. Thanks for this wonderful reminder.

Indeed! It's wonderful to know that, although God himself went through great pain, He also smiled and loved and had fun as we do. It's evidence that He also wants us to be happy.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

I agree. He gave me "smile", too, and I'm using it now.

Thanks,
