Sparrow In The Wind

The ocean breeze is strong today
And beats the waves to froth and spray.
A sparrow in the wind am I,
Who prays that God will hear my cry!
Dispel the gale and quell the storm
And lead me somewhere safe and warm.
My boat is driven to the shore.
Will I survive to sail once more,
Or will the tempest claim my soul
And bury me, where dark seas roll.?
But faith is like a shining light,
To guide me safely through the night
And in the daytime hours show
Each new direction I must go!

Some days you just feel as frail as a sparrow, and by the time you get your wings "lifted" you are as strong as an eagle.  I loved this poem, it was very inspiring.

Being from Idaho, you are certainly a woman who sees beyond your boarders.      Lovely poem.

His eye is on the sparrow . . .

Sharon:  Boy, that's the truth!  Sometimes when I feel the weakest, are the times I've had to be the strongest.  I know where that strength comes from and I'm always grateful!

LayItDown:  Thanks.  Although I now live in Idaho and have for twenty years or so, I lived many places before that and I like to think I learned something everywhere I went.

Though now in Wisconsin (25 years), I've lived in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  You never forget, do you?

LayItDown:  You're right, there are places you live that always stay with you.  I've never been to Wisconsin!
