When the Hound of Heaven
Starts circlin ‘ round about you
He’s lean and mean and His eye is terribly keen
Angels up above are lookin’ down on the scene
Which way will your eternal soul lean

He’s dealin’ with you, He’s dealin’ with you
What’ll you do now that He’s dealin’ with you

This old boy ain’t your ordinary doggie
He’s swift as lightening
And He quickly cuts to the core
He’ll hem you in and pin you down
When He comes knockin’ on your door
All He’s after is you and nothing more

Do you maneuvers and your best
To play your hand
He reads your every move
His reasoning you can not withstand
Your strategy always worked
When you played the con
Now with just one move
The Hound captures all of your pawns

When the Hound of Heaven
Starts circlin’ ‘round about you
You realize there’s just no place to escape
He will pursue
And thoroughly invade your space
Such is the visit of this
Amazing saving grace
